February 2007MULTIPLE PRIMARY/HISTOLOGY WEB CASTS AVAILABLE ON SEER WEBSITE Did foul weather, illness or other obligations prevent you from attending those all important MP/H training courses? No worries! The Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) Program of the NCI has posted their MP/H training web casts on their web site for viewing. In addition to the ability to view all previous web casts, you may also download the transcripts of the web cast and after viewing, there is a printable continuing education certificate available. The following link will take you directly to the 2007 MP/H Coding Rules page: http://seer.cancer.gov/tools/mphrules/ Clicking on “Registrar Training” in the menu bar on the right side of the page will take you to the list of available web casts. The MP/H Coding Rules page also contains a link to a calendar displaying regional web cast training courses available in future. You may also download the full MP/H coding manual or sections of the manual from this page. If you had to miss out on past MP/H training opportunities, this web page will give you the chance to catch up with the rest of your registry colleagues. Happy coding!
CNEXT VERSION 1.7 RELEASE
Testing has begun on the 2007 data items update (CNExT Version 1.7). We anticipate shipping to national customers in early April 2007. This update will include the new Multiple Primary/Histology (MP/H) Rules. Some of the new features in 1.7 include (but are not limited to) the following:
