CNExT Audit

CNExT Audit is a unique software program designed for Quality Control auditors who need to review reported data with the ability to recode fields, and require flexible reporting capabilities. Several regions of the California Cancer Registry use the software. CNExT Audit comes with all of the powerful standard features that are included in every CNExT product.

Features

• Allows loading of 2003/2004 NAACCR format cases
• Provides all of the features that were used by NAACCR auditors, plus more
• Allows a printed abstract of registrar input
• Ability to export data in standard formats
• Two different auditing styles:
  • blind auditing where the original hospital codes are not visible to the auditor
  • unblinded where the auditor can see the hospital codes

CNExT Audit manages the QC auditing of a full range of data items.
For each item it shows:

• The original reported value (which is protected from editing)
• The new audit value
• The consensus value of the field
• The coded reason for discrepancy
• Notes on the reason for the changed value

The Reason for Discrepancy field can be used in later analysis to count discrepancies by hospital and by reason. The coded reason values include:

• Auditor and Abstractor Error
• Coding Discrepancy
• Data Entry/Computer Error
• Medical Record Incomplete (Abs)
• Medical Record Incomplete (Aud)
• ACoS/SEER/REG specific
• No Discrepancy
